Consulting

From time to time, and increasingly, clients are asking Master-McNeil to provide ongoing strategy and consulting support, usually following completion of a specific naming project or to manage implementation of a brand architecture. These consulting services are offered either under a retainer agreement, or on a project basis.  We try to limit these relationship to no more than a handful at any one time, based on how demanding they often are.

Other consulting assignments or retainers have included creating all descriptive names worldwide for a Fortune 100 company for several years, while training their own in-house staff to handle this in future; agreeing to create a fixed “package” of proprietary names per year for a predetermined retainer fee; or going in-house as acting CMO to manage roll-out, web content, art direction, and the first year of integration of a new company brand.

Another aspect of our consulting work is our expanding practice negotiating for and licensing or acquiring domain names on behalf of clients.  In these engagements we provide professional expertise and negotiation expertise, while masking the identity of our client, the ultimate acquirer.  See the section on Name Advocacy for further details on our negotiation practice.
